JB Presents is an independent Bay Area & Sacramento theater & event company dedicated to producing original theater, musical revues, concerts, shows, and events. Our productions span genres and defy labels, celebrating a vast array of styles and themes. JB Presents is also a vibrant community of musicians, singers, and artists that share a love for their craft and believe in teamwork, empowerment, collaboration and authenticity.

John Bisceglie (Director & Producer) is the founder and artistic director of JB Presents. Since 1985, he has created, directed and choreographed hundreds of community, commercial, and professional productions featuring actors of all ages. He has created and founded three Bay Area youth performing arts organizations in San Jose (SBCMT) Morgan Hill/Gilroy (GCMT) and San Francisco (SFCMT) producing original musical revues, scripted plays as well as feature films starring Bay Area actors. His large scale productions have appeared at the Herbst Theater, Marine’s Memorial Theater, Pier 39 and Palace of Fine Arts Theater in San Francisco. Recent San Francisco productions include; SF Follies, Sing for Your Supper, Sondheim In Concert, Night & Day, Lady Sings the Blues, Downtown Bacharach, and Holiday Big Band Bash. John enjoys sharing his longtime experience and passion for theater with actors of all ages and is thankful to work with a wonderful creative team and group of performers whose dedication, energy, and talent make creating original theater possible.

Evan Crone (Musical Director/Vocal Coach) has been a part of JB Presents for two years providing Musical/Vocal Direction for the adult and children’s programs. “It is a wonderful opportunity to work with such enthusiastic and talented musicians on reviews filled with fantastic music.“ Evan has been a part of JB Presents Downtown Bacharach, Best of Broadway, Sondheim a Choral Celebration and three annual Holiday Big Band Bash concerts just to name a few. Evan Crone hails from Pennsylvania, and attended college at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where he majored in education a minored in Organ and voice. Evan resides in San Francisco and works as a Music/Vocal Director for the Bay Area Children’s Theatre (BACT) as well as an accompanist and vocal coach.

Ashleigh Karkazis (San Francisco Production Manager) has been with JB Presents for over a year. While battling leukemia, Ashleigh rekindled her love for performing by serenading her husband and nurses from her hospital bed. While recovering from a stem cell transplant, she filled her time with volunteer work at Terra Nova High School. She has been the vocal director and production manager for their plays and musicals for four years including; Guys & Dolls, Fahrenheit 451, and Heathers the Musical. Her students and husband inspired her to take her passion for performing, and audition for JB Presents. Since last year, Ashleigh has performed in numerous JB Presents productions including; Holiday Big Band Bash, Cole Porter, Night at the USO and the YouTube release of Broadway Covered, where she sang Don’t Rain On My Parade from Funny girl. She’s excited to expand her involvement in music as the production manager for JB Presents.

Tenaya Conklin (San Jose Production Manager) has 25+ years of experience in performing, improvising, lighting, stagecraft, stage managing, prop management, and directing.  Tenaya is thrilled to work with someone as passionate as John Bisceglie on productions all over the Bay Area.  She has worked on many shows with Mr. Bisceglie since 2009’s San Francisco Follies where she performed as Patty Hearst and numerous other characters.  Tenaya also builds electronic projects with microcontrollers and enjoys rock climbing and dachshunds.

Michael Stahl (San Jose Vocal Director) is a local performer and teacher. When he is not giving private voice lessons, he directs at Silicon Valley Boychoir, teaches workshops, sings with Ragazzi Continuo, and continues his involvement with various theatre companies around the area. Most recently, he was a vocal director at Los Altos Stage Company (Miracle on 34th Street). He has been seen on stage in Into the Woods (Broadway By the Bay, Cabrillo Stage), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Big River, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Bridges of Madison County (South Bay Musical Theatre), Wizard of Oz, Yeomen of the Guard, Patience, and The Gondoliers (Lyric Theatre), and soon, Sunday in the Park with George (Los Altos Stage Company). Michael is excited to combine his love of both theatre and choir with JB Presents Recast On Broadway.
