Thirty local performers celebrated gifted composer and lyricist, Cole Porter and his legendary contribution to the American songbook. “Classic Cole Porter” features a hit parade of songs from the 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s including Begin the Beguine, From This Moment On, Anything Goes, It’s De-Lovely, You’re The Top, Just One of Those Things, and My Heart Belongs to Daddy.
Cole Porter set new standards for popular songwriting, and his lyrics and melodies are as bright and sophisticated today as when they first dazzled audiences decades ago.
