Director and Producer John Bisceglie seeks talented, diverse youth performers (ages 7-20) with strong vocal abilities to film and record a cover of a contemporary or classic Broadway song on film.
Songs will be featured in “Broadway Covered Jr” is an independent film that will be screened at selected Bay Area Cinemark Century Theaters in January of 2021. All videos will be professionally filmed and edited by filmmaker Nils Myers of 152 West Productions.
The commitment: This project is a easy two commitment, with one rehearsal in July or August and one day to record/film in the studio on either September 20, 27, October 4, 11 & 18, 25.
This project does not require you to rehearse with other cast members, and we will not have an audience gathering until January 2021.
If selected to participate, the participation fee is $295 and includes 5, $20 tickets to the screening in January 2021.
Video submission due May 11th: To submit, please submit a video that includes yourself singing one minute of a classic or contemporary Broadway song acappella or with piano accompaniment. The song you audition with, should be the same song you would like to record and film.
Please include your first/last name and city. Name of your song, what Broadway show the song is from, and why you are connected to the song.
